Alexa Riech is a level 10 gymnast training at Hot Shots in New York. Alexa competed as a level 8 in 2002 and qualified to Regional Championships where she placed fifth all-around and won the uneven bars title. For the next three years Alexa competed as a level 9. In 2003, she finished eighth on vault at Level 9 Regional Championships.

In 2004, she placed 1st all-around at Level 9 Sections. She also won the vault title and earned a silver medal on balance beam and two bronze medals on uneven bars and floor exercise. She then placed 26th all-around and placed 5th on vault at 2004 Level 9 Regionals. In 2005, she qualified to Eastern National Championships where she took eighth place on floor exercise and placed fourteenth in all-around. On her best event vault, she took the bronze medal.
