We posted five new pictures from 2008 Empire State Games. We also added one new training video. She has been training flip flop + flip flop + back layout stepout on balance beam. You can see it on the bottom of videos page under "Short Videos."
2 medals at Empire State Games | July 28, 2008
Alexa competed this past weekend at the Empire State Games. She made the finals on Vault and Beam. She won the gold medal on vault doing 2 different vaults (open womens has to do 2 different vaults in the finals) with a 9.5 average of the two vaults. She won the silver medal on the balance beam with a 9.4. Good job Alexa! We have added one new video from the competition.
Empire State Games Tryouts | June 13, 2008
Alexa tried out for the Empire State Games last night and placed 2nd all around from Long Island Region. She had an amazing vault stuck perfectly! She will be competing in Binghamton for the Games at the end of July. Good job Alexa!

Alexa Withdraws from Regionals | April 27, 2008
Alexa suffered a foot injury this week in practice. The good news is an MRI showed no fracture or breaks in the top of the foot. The bad news is due to the amount of swelling in her foot, her doctor advised her to withdraw from the regional meet. She will continue practices when the swelling is reduced.

Lex Qualified to Regionals | April 7, 2008
Alexa competed yesterday at the Level 10 New York State Championships in Albany, New York. She qualified to the Level 10 Regionals with a 35.375. She won vault with a 9.525 and placed 4th on balance beam with a 9.325. Alexa's bars was 8.575 and had a rough floor exercise with a 7.950 (fell on 2 passes). She strained her back a few weeks ago and is still recovering from that. Alexa's next competition will be at the Level 10 Regionals on April 25-27 in Syracuse, New York.
3 Medals at Long Island Classic | March 3, 2008
Alexa competed last Saturday evening at the Long Island Classic. She took 3rd place AA with a 36.8. She placed 2nd on vault (9.5), 4th on balance beam (9.125), and 1st on floor exercise (9.475). She had an 8.7 on uneven bars with a fall. Good job Lex!

4th AA at the Hard Rock Invite | February 17, 2008
Alexa competed yesterday at the Hard Rock Invitational and placed 4th in the all-around with a 36.55. She won the vault title with a 9.65, placed 5th on uneven bars with 9.0, 7th on floor exercise with a 9.15, and got a 8.75 on beam but fell on her front tuck. She added a double tuck at the end of her floor routine for the first time. Good job Lex!
Winter Wonderland Champion | February 10, 2008
Alexa competed last night at the Winter Wonderland hosted by Exper-tiess gymnastics. She won the all-around title with a 36.300. she placed 1st on vault and balance beam scoring 9.500 and 9.150 respectively. She also placed third on floor exercise with a 9.250 and uneven bars with a 8.400. Next weekend, Alexa will travel to Phoenix, AZ for the Hard Rock Invitational. Good job Lex! Videos from the Winter Wonderland will be coming soon.

8th AA at Maryland Classic | January 19, 2008
Alexa just finished competing at the Hill's Maryland Classic today. She finished 8th in the all-around with a total all-around score of 35.550. She placed 4th on vault scoring 9.600. She then placed 10th on uneven bars, 14th on balance beam, and 6th on floor exercise. Full results have been posted from the meet.
